Points of interest (POI):


The update includes over 4.2 million key points of interest, including gas stations, parking lots, museums, restaurants and hospitals. There are about 267,000 more POIs here than in the previous version. If necessary, the navigation system will also display the fastest route to Mercedes-Benz 3123 service points.




Dynamic route guidance based on the latest traffic data (TMC / RDS):


Using data from the traffic channel, the navigation system takes into account the latest traffic newsletters and automatically calculates changes. This convenient service is now available in 40 countries.




Road network updates:


Map updates include millions of changes, e.g. new roads, intersections, bypasses, intersections and motorway exits. One road section can contain up to 260 attributes, such as the number of lanes or one-way route. All these attributes and the huge number of places of interest must be constantly updated. In this new version, for example, more than 82,798 roundabouts have been updated, 417 698 turn restrictions, 188 757 one-way streets and 1 794 870 street names. In addition, more than 1 325 925 kilometers of roads were updated, including around 21 920 kilometers of motorway and dual carriageway.
